Abstract: The individuals, belonging to all communities are overwhelmed by different types of health problems and illnesses. Furthermore, within one’s life, there are occurrences of accidents and disasters. Hence, it is of utmost importance for individuals to acquire a thorough understanding of the meaning and significance of health insurance. Individuals are required to supplement their information in various ways necessary for promoting good health and well-being, both physically and psychologically. Acquiring health insurance is regarded as one of the significant aspects that individuals need to consider. Individuals are required to possess a certain monthly income. The reason is that to purchase insurance policies, individuals are required to have a certain amount of financial resources. The reason is that they are required to pay the premium. It is usually paid for three years or five years to claim the sum on maturity. Not everyone is eligible to purchase health insurance policies. Therefore, it is widely understood that health insurance is vital, a fact that individuals should acknowledge. As a consequence of meeting the criteria, individuals are required to purchase health insurance. In this manner, they will make a significant contribution to enhancing their overall quality of life. The main concepts considered in this research paper are understanding the meaning and significance of health insurance, measures to be implemented for the upgradation of health insurance, and the advantages of health insurance.

Implementation of PDCA Cycle in Improving Communication Skill-Set for Training the Future Health Care Professionals

Abstract: The research was conducted to evaluate the soft skill competencies and communication among future healthcare professionals. By assessing the level of knowledge, attitude, practices, and skill sets using pre- and post-tests, and taking feedback, data is collected for process improvement in the training program. The Plan, Do, Check, and Act (PDCA) Cycle helps in setting processes for implementation and improving training modules for communication and soft skill competency. The PDCA cycle is utilised as a managerial tool for the improvement process in a process setting. The approach helps in competency mapping and evaluating the training module for healthcare managers. This tool helps enhance the quality of the training program by assessing the participants’ preparation from their perspective. Data are compared using the pre- and post-test scores. Results include both quantitative and qualitative data collected as feedback to assess the effectiveness of the training module. Data is collected on the level of preparation of the participants, their expectations for taking the course, and the level of interaction with the training program. Data is collated, compiled, analysed, and interpreted for evaluation and analysis. The research provides insights into customer satisfaction, decision-making capabilities, the importance of rewards and recognition in training and development, and changing domains in the quality healthcare management sector. The skill sets and competencies that were outcomes included Communication, Collaboration, Team Leadership, Change Agent, Motivation, Analytical Skills, and Logical Skills. By taking participants’ feedback, the outcome analysis and the effectiveness of training can be evaluated. Through evaluation of results, process improvements, seamless coordination, and continuous improvement are implemented. The research concluded as an outcome measure to improve training programs and enhance the quality of services.

Abstract: Telehealth is the need of the hour for both healthcare providers & patients. This helps to be innovative with the newer concepts that can be fine-tuned with an Indian perspective. Teleconsultation offers a comprehensive system for small, medium, and large-sized hospitals to manage day-to-day activities and implement managerial strategies that can be integrated into multi-speciality telemedicine services, facilitating collaboration with peripheral units. The study undertaken is cross-sectional and descriptive, employing an observational method. Structured data, including both qualitative and quantitative information, was collected during the commissioning of a telehealth project utilising a hub-and-spoke model for a large hospital situated in a suburban rural area of India. These aspects are elaborated upon, providing insight into project commissioning, challenges, and limitations faced during the operations of telehealth centres, as well as the quality, training, and regulatory aspects of telehealth services in India. The elements of Telemedicine/Telehealth, including Affordability, Accessibility, Reliability, and Scope, with relevance to clinical importance and their role in non-communicable diseases, are discussed. Remote patient monitoring (RPM) is also known as the store-and-forward form of teleconsultation, in which patients upload images to facilitate medical diagnoses. The Hub and Scope model and Vendor Analysis model have been depicted. The measurement model will provide the relevance of vendor analysis for commissioning the telemedicine projects. Telehealth technology enables the remote evaluation of patients by a medical specialist, allowing for the consideration of fluctuations and variations in medical conditions. These patients may be situated at home, where their medications can be adjusted accordingly. With the help of telehealth technology, we can digitally connect remote, rural, and urban areas, providing holistic healthcare services to the most vulnerable individuals in a comprehensive manner. The integration of healthcare that results in a continuum of care is vital. Real-time data for the effective management of staff and caregivers is enumerated.
